Reset password

If you simply want to change the password for the RaQ XTR Administrator, you

can do so through the Server Desktop. For more information, see “Changing the

RaQ XTR Administrator password” on page 134.

If you forget the password for the RaQ XTR Administrator, you can reset the

password. This is done in two steps:

a. Clear the password through the LCD console.

b. Enter a new password for the admin account through the Server

Desktop.

Clearing the password through the LCD console

To clear the RaQ XTR Administrator password:

1. On the LCD console, hold down the button for approximately

2 seconds.

The LCD screen displays:

SELECT:

SETUP NETWORK

2. Press the button until RESET PASSWORD appears in the LCD

screen:

SELECT:

RESET PASSWORD

3. Press the button. The LCD screen displays:

RESET PASSWORD?

[Y]ES [N]O

Note: When the RaQ XTR Administrator password is cleared, you

cannot access the root account until a new administrator password

has been assigned.
